Author Guidelines

To ensure your manuscript meets KWMIJ's standards, please adhere to the following guidelines:

• Manuscript Structure:
• Title Page (including author details and affiliations)
• Abstract (250 words maximum)
• Keywords (5–7 keywords)
• Introduction, Methodology, Results, Discussion, Conclusion
• References (formatted according to APA or IEEE style, depending on the journal)
• Appendices (if applicable)

 Formatting Requirements:

• Use a standard font (e.g., Times New Roman, 12-point size).
• Double-spaced text with 1-inch margins.
• Include page numbers and line numbers for easy reference during peer review.

 Figures and Tables:

• High-resolution images (minimum 300 DPI).
• All figures and tables must be cited in the text and accompanied by descriptive captions.

Submitting your manuscript to KWMIJ is a straightforward process. Follow these steps:

1. Prepare Your Manuscript: Ensure your manuscript complies with our Author Guidelines.
2. Create an Account: Register on our submission portal if you don’t already have an account.
3. Upload Files: Submit your manuscript, cover letter, and any supplementary files (e.g., datasets, appendices).
4. Confirm Submission: Review your submission details and confirm. You will receive an automated acknowledgement email.

Peer Review Process

KWMIJ employs a double-blind peer-review process to ensure fairness, objectivity, and academic rigor. Here’s how it works:

1. Initial Screening: The editorial team checks your manuscript for compliance with submission guidelines and relevance to the journal’s scope.
2. Reviewer Assignment: Two or more independent reviewers with expertise in the subject area are assigned to evaluate your manuscript.
3. Feedback and Decision: Reviewers provide feedback, and the editor makes one of the following decisions:
• Accept
• Minor Revisions
• Major Revisions
• Reject
4. Revision and Resubmission: If revisions are required, you will have the opportunity to address reviewer comments and resubmit your manuscript.
5. Final Decision: Once revisions are satisfactory, your manuscript is accepted for publication.

Publication Ethics

KWMIJ is committed to upholding the highest ethical standards in academic publishing. Authors are expected to adhere to the following principles:

• Originality: Submit only original work that has not been published elsewhere.
• Plagiarism: Plagiarism in any form is strictly prohibited. All manuscripts are checked using plagiarism detection software.
• Authorship: Ensure all contributors are listed as authors and meet the criteria for authorship.

Q1: How do I choose the right sub-journal for my manuscript?
A: Review the aims and scope of each sub-journal on the Journals page. Select the journal that best aligns with your research topic.

Q2: Can I submit my manuscript to multiple KWMIJ journals simultaneously?
A: No. Please submit your manuscript to only one journal at a time.

Q3: How long does the peer-review process take?
A: Typically, the process takes 4–8 weeks, depending on the complexity of the manuscript and reviewer availability.

Q4: What happens if my manuscript is rejected?
A: You may revise your manuscript based on feedback and resubmit to the same journal or consider submitting to another KWMIJ journal if it fits their scope.

Q5: Are there publication fees?
A: KWMIJ operates on an open-access model. A nominal Article Processing Charge (APC) applies upon acceptance to cover publication costs. Waivers are available for authors from low-income countries.
